Overview of Honda Exhibit at Tokyo Auto Salon 2012

TOKYO, Japan, January 11, 2012 - Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today announced it will participate in Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 with NAPAC*1, which will be held from Friday, January 13, to Sunday, January 15, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Featuring production and exhibition models of automobiles, motorcycles, power products, racing vehicles and other highlights, the Honda exhibit will present an exciting variety of approaches to customization while conveying the joy of mobility and the appeal of motor sports.

Featured automobiles will include two study models based on currently available production vehicles*2.Based on the all-new N BOX Custom minicar, which went on sale in Japan in December 2011, the FLASH BOX features a special body color, reflective decal sheets and LEDs used as a decorative element in both the exterior and interior designs. The Freed Wa is based on the Freed Hybrid compact minivan, and the Japanese word wa refers to traditional Japanese culture. Its exterior features the ancient Japanese art of lacquering, while flowers representing the four seasons are the theme of the interior design.

Honda's automobile exhibit will also include the Freed Spike Transporter Version*3, onto which are loaded to off-road motorcycles, and the BEAT Auto Salon Special*2, which features genuine BEAT accessories*4 and special aerodynamic parts.

Honda's motorcycle exhibit will present the NC700S, NC700X and INTEGRA - New Midsize Series bikes that debuted at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011 - as well as the CB1100, VT1300CX and other production motorcycles featuring genuine aftermarket parts and accessories*5.

Honda's racing vehicle exhibit will present the RC212V motorcycle, which was essential to Honda's winning all three championships-riders', team and constructors' - in the 2011 season of MotoGP, the highest class in the Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix. Also on display will be the HSV-010 GT, the race car in the GT500 class of Super GT.
