
Honda has long been committed to spreading mobility throughout society while promoting traffic safety for everyone. On a global basis, Honda is directly involved in real-life safety training that expands safe driving practices one person at a time.
Always an industry leader in original initiatives, Honda began contributing to improving traffic safety in 1970 with the establishment of the Driving Safety Promotion Center in Japan for the promotion of safe driving.
In Japan alone, safe driving practices are taught by specialists at seven Traffic Education Centers with a focus on cultivating safety group leaders in local businesses, organizations, and neighborhoods as well as general riders and drivers. Recently, Honda set up community groups at its plants to work with local associations in developing community-based safe driving activities for all generations-from children to the elderly-.
In regions outside of Japan, the companies in 36 countries conducts safety activities based on traffic conditions unique to each region around the world.

We are developing educational equipments and materials tailored for each age group to increase educational effects. For example, Honda's Ayatorii traffic education courses encourage traffic awareness among kindergarteners and schoolchildren. These highly praised programs have been widely adopted in educational circles. Moreover, we are focusing on the development of motorcycle, automobile simulators to let people virtually experience hazards in a safe environment.
