Embedded with unique technology, Honda hybrid models deliver both the fun of driving and excellent environmental performance. To expand this effort and inspire more people to drive Honda hybrid cars, we have enhanced our lineup globally with the launch of the new Accord Hybrid sedan and the sporty CR-Z, followed by the Jazz Hybrid in Thailand. In 2012, cumulative sales of Honda hybrid vehicles reached 1 million units worldwide. In the area of electric vehicles, Honda started lease sales of the Fit EV for local governments and businesses in Japan.

In step with the global trend toward smaller models, Honda has further expanded its lineup centering on small cars. As the third model in the new N series mini-vehicle lineup, Honda launched the N-ONE in Japan, a model that has proven popular with its unique styling and impressive utility while accommodating a diverse set of customer needs. Globally produced and sold, the Fit (also sold in some regions under the name Jazz) has attained 2 million cumulative vehicle sales in Japan, and will undergo a full model change in 2013.
To produce the new NSX equipped with a new hybrid system featuring high efficiency and high power, Honda will build a plant in the U.S. and deliver the vehicle to customers around the world in the near future. Meanwhile, a number of advanced models are under development at Honda R&D. To ensure that our automobiles will always assert a presence that excites and inspires, we continue to take on new challenges in car-making with creativity and originality.
