The birth of the iGX440 next-generation multipurpose engine, household compact cogeneration unit and other such products are the result of a two-step process: Conducting research to accurately identify the wishes and needs of customers, and developing the required technology and product concepts.

Combining the GE160V world's smallest gas engine with unique Honda sine-wave inverter technology and a high-efficiency heat exchanger with integrated catalyst, has enabled the development of a compact household cogeneration unit (overall energy efficiency of 85%) for the first time in the world. The GE160V engine has a durability of approximately 20,000 hours. |
