| The Tokai University of Japan / Tibet University of China Kula Kangri Scientific Friendship Expedition that succeeded in reaching the summit of the central peak of Kula Kangri (7,418m) for the first time in 2001 used the EU9i inverter generator at the base-camp at an altitude of 5,900m with temperatures of minus 20° Centigrade to charge their satellite telephone, PC and other communication equipment which represent the lifeline for the climbing expedition. |
