Acura Exhibits RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD, a China Premiere, at the Beijing International Automobile Exhibition (Auto China 2014)

BEIJING, China, April 20, 2014 - Acura today exhibited the China premiere of the RLX hybrid version equipped with the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD® (Super Handling - All Wheel Drive) system, at the 13th Beijing International Automobile Exhibition (Auto China 2014, press day: April 20, 2014, public days: April 21-29, 2014).

•Unveiling RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD

The RLX hybrid model was unveiled as a new addition to the existing RLX FWD model lineup in China. The model is equipped with the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD®, a high-efficiency and high-output hybrid system that realizes both excellent driving performance and fuel economy at the same time. The combination of a 3.5 L direct-injection i-VTEC V-6 engine, a 7-speed DCT* system with a built-in high-output motor, and a rear drive unit with two built-in independent motors takes linear acceleration and outstanding handling to another level.

The RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD, a luxury vehicle with unprecedented driving pleasure for the new era, will be launched in Chinese market in August of this year.

Through our collaboration, we will establish a structure that enables us to deliver the best Acura products for Chinese customers with speed and at appropriate prices. Acura products offer the greatest "fun of driving" realized by the greatest and most sophisticated powertrain technologies. The NSX Concept is the model that embodies such value to the fullest extent. We will begin communicating about the Acura brand more loudly, more clearly and in more places."
