Update on Earthquake Impact to Honda’s July 25 Production Activity


TOKYO, Japan, July 24, 2007 – The following is an update on the effects of the recent earthquake in Niigata Prefecture on Honda’s production activities on July 25.

Further to our former announcement to suspend production at our domestic production facilities on July 24, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has decided to suspend production at the following factories on July 25;

< Automobile Production >
  Yokkaichi Factory of Yachiyo Industry Co., Ltd.

< Automobile Engine Production >
  Kumamoto Factory

All other factories will operate normally.

Further situation beyond July 26 will depend on when Kashiwazaki Factory of Riken Corp can resume full production and other conditions in the area damaged by the earthquake.  Honda will keep you updated.
