| Update on Earthquake Impact to Honda’s July 24 Production Activity |
| TOKYO, Japan, July 23, 2007 – The following is an update on the effects of the recent earthquake in Niigata Prefecture on Honda’s production activities on July 24. Further to our last week’s announcement to suspend production at our domestic production facisilies on July 23, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has decided to suspend production at the following factories on July 24;
Further situation beyond July 25 will depend on when Riken can resume full production and other conditions in the area damaged by the earthquake. Honda will keep you updated. Donations and other Relief Activities In addition to the 5 million yen contribution through Japanese Red Cross Society and donation of Honda Power Products, e.g. generators and water pumps etc., Honda has pledged automobiles (StepWGN) and motorcycles (Super Cub) to help disaster relief efforts in Niigata area in response to the local requests. |
