| Honda Races To Record Year For European Car Production And Sales |
| January 14, 2005 – Honda Motor Europe Ltd. announced today that 2004 had been a record year for production and sales of Honda cars in Europe. The sales total of 255,721 units was up 17.6% on 2003, driven by the success of models such the Jazz and the Accord diesel. Shigeru Takagi, President of Honda Motor Europe, said, “This has been another strong year for Honda. We said in October that we expected to break the 250,000 mark for automobile sales and we have delivered on that promise.” 2004 Honda Motor Europe sales highlights:
Honda expects continued sales increase in Europe, helped, in part, by the launch of diesel versions of the CR-V and the FR-V in 2005. The company’s Swindon (UK) automobile plant performed strongly posting a record production total of 193,456 units, up 4.75% on 2003.
