Sept 10th, 2004 – Honda will feature two major new models in its display at the Mondial de l’Automobile Paris 2004 which takes place from September 23 to October 10.
Honda will unveil the FR-V, an all new compact MPV featuring a distinctive 3 + 3 seating configuration, at the show. The stylish FR-V also offers a seating arrangement which allows great flexibility and a large space for luggage. The vehicle will go on sale from November.
Honda also introduces an improved CR-V with a Honda’s record breaking 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine. The 2.2 i-CTDi engine’s broad spread of torque peaking at a hefty 340 Nm at just 2000 rpm delivers a significant performance advantage over its main rivals in a wide variety of driving conditions. It also delivers good fuel economy and low emissions that comfortably exceed Euro IV requirements.
At the same time, a number of improvements across the CR-V range are introduced, including fresh new front and rear styling plus uprated interiors. In terms of safety, the class leading CR-V gets improved Real Time 4WD, and the availability of side curtain airbags and Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA).
Together with new FR-V and CR-V models, Honda will display a much improved Jazz, the multi-award winning small car. Fresh exterior styling, more advanced and ergonomic instrumentation and the availability of VSA now complement the Jazz’s clever packaging of ‘Magic’ seats and highly efficient engines. Honda is also making its 1.2 litre models more widely available, some retaining the features of 2004 model year cars.
