"We are very honored
that the Honda Fit has earned the prestigious 2001-2002 Japan 'Car of the
Year' award.
Based on Honda's newly developed global small car platform and powertrain,
the Fit was designed to set a new global benchmark for small cars - offering
cleaner, environmentally friendly performance, together with advanced safety,
distinctive styling, a spacious interior and driving pleasure. Most importantly,
it has been highly evaluated and well received by our customers since being
introduced to the market.
We accept this award both as recognition of our development concept and
new technologies and as appreciation for the great efforts of Honda suppliers
and business affiliates who support our efforts.
