Tokyo, October 26, 1999 --- As previously announced, Honda will participate in the Formula One (F1) races from next year as a joint collaboration with British American Racing. The new team will be officially called "British American Racing Honda."
Also today, Honda announced its newly developed F1 engine, codenamed "RA000E," which will power the team's racing machines in the 2000 season. The team is expected to commence actual track testing of the new power plant from December of this year.
