| Tokyo, July 15, 1998 --- The new 1.5-inch caliber 4-cycle WX15 water pump, which features Honda's newly developed GXH50 compact 4-cycle engine, will go on sale on July 28 at Honda Power Products dealers throughout Japan. The new GXH50 power unit is as lightweight and compact as a 2-cycle engine. In fact, within the stationary-type 2.5PS class, it is the lightest and most compact engine in the world.
The WX15 features extremely quiet operation, easy start-up, and emission of minimal exhaust gases. A one-touch coupling is a standard feature in the WX15 series. Easy for anyone to use, it has a wide range of applications-from agriculture and industrial settings to sports and leisure functions.
 Main features:
- Thanks to a new pump design, it achieves the world's leading head and pumping volume values (maximum head 40m, maximum pumping volume 250l/min.).
- Fitted with the GXH50 4-cycle engine, which can develop high rotations and power output of up to 2.5PS/7,000rpm, it is more compact and lightweight than pumps fitted with 2-cycle engines, making it both quiet and economical.
- Fitted with a special aluminum alloy impeller, it will ensure a rust-free water supply even after being stored for long periods.
- A mechanical decompressor guarantees smooth starts.
- A special oil alert function fitted as standard helps prevent any trouble due to oil loss.
- The one-touch coupling on the JX3 model makes attaching and detaching the suction and delivery hoses very simple.
