| Tokyo, March 18, 1998 --- The EN2100 series of electric generators will go on sale from March 20 at home product centers throughout Japan. Fitted with a multi-purpose 4-cycle OHC engine, these handy machines are ideal for generating electricity around the home, at outdoor events, or during light-duty nighttime operations.
The EN2100 series features the Honda GC160 4-cycle OHC engine, launched in
August 1997. Featuring an internal timing belt, the GC160 starts smoothly and
runs quietly. Displaying the superior fuel efficiency that is a typical advantage
of 4-cycle engines, the GC160 also contains an exceptionally large 10.6-liter
fuel tank, providing up to 10.3 hours of continuous operation (JL-model).
Main features:
- Fitted with the Honda GC160 4-cycle OHC engine with internal timing belt,
EN2100 achieved the following;
- Low fuel consumption and the GC160's exhaust emissions are well below the
values stipulated in CARB (California Air Resources Board) and EPA (Environmental
Protection Agency) regulations.
- A mechanical decompressor guarantees smooth starting.
- Oil alert as a standard feature prevents engine from overheating.
- A simplified design with all alternator controls in a single box makes it light and compact.
