The Honda Worldwide Goodwood Site 2013: Honda at the Goodwood Festivalo of speed 2013.
Honda participated in the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013, held in Goodwood, West Sussex, England on July 11 through 14.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the world's largest historic motor sports event inaugurated by Charles Gordon-Lennox, Earl of March and Kinrara in 1993, and has reached its 20th year.
In 2005 Honda was the first Japanese automobile manufacturer to become main sponsor to this festival.
The most exciting event during the festival is undoubtedly the Hillclimb, a challenging time-trial raced by world-class race riders and drivers young and old, on new and historic two- and four-wheeled racing vehicles over a 1.16-mile course throughout the estate.
In this year's Hillclimb, Honda's WTCC works driver Gabriele Tarquini drove a Honda RA272, and Freddie Spencer (rider of Honda's first two-stroke Grand Prix victory) raced an NSR500. John Surtees, the only world champion on both two and four wheels, also visited the festival.
