This evolution of the popular CB400 Super Four is powered by a new Hyper VTEC
SPEC II engine that switches between 2-valve and 4-valve operation at 6,300rpm
instead of the 6,750rpm of its earlier version, boosting midrange torque and changing
overall power characteristics for a palpably sportier ride. It also features that
same brake pads used on the VTR1000 SP-1, and is the first 400cc-class bike to
incorporate the highly effective H.I.S.S* anti-theft system, rounding out its
forward-looking features in a way befitting its reputation as 'King of the Nakeds.'
