Honda has been committed to the fun of the drive since day one: our first car was a sporty, open-top 2-seater, the S500. Over the years that followed, we also developed another concept -"Man Maximum, Machine Minimum"-the idea that cars are a mobile environment made for people, and should provide them with a space that enhances their driving pleasure. These two core concepts, "The Fun of the Drive" and "The Fun of Mobile Space", have formed the bedrock for all our vehicle designs, past and present. And Honda will continue to combine and enhance these concepts to break new ground in automotive excitement for the 21st century.

The fun of the drive-it's what owning a car is all about. We have maintained this belief throughout our entire history as an automaker, giving it concrete form in every car we've built. No matter what the demands of our customers and society, we combine the latest in automotive technology with our own unique flare, to create cars that not only address the important issues of our times, but are fun to drive as well. At this motor show, we present four models that are brimming with the spirit of driving pleasure: the DUALNOTE, the BULLDOG, and two 2nd-generation TYPE R vehicles, the Civic TYPE R and the NSX TYPE R.

At Honda, we are always seeking new ways to enhance the driving experience. We do not see the car as just another means of getting somewhere: the car itself is a place where you should want to be-a mobile space where everyone onboard can relax in comfort. A space creatively conceived to enhance people's lives, that provides them with new value and ways to enjoy their automotive experience. At this year's Tokyo Motor Show, we present four models that are brimming with the fun of mobile space: UNIBOX, Model X, w·i·c, and S·U·U.
