Ikuhiro Kato

Ikuhiro Kato
General Manager, Environmental Conservation Department, Production Operations
"In the future, I'd like to set up an organization in Japan to provide full support to our overseas operations. Ideally, I'd like to train workers who we can send overseas to provide guidance and evaluate environmental initiatives at those plants. We could provide on-site environmental consulting and lay the groundwork for them to use Japanese technologies."

Matsuo Yatsu

Matsuo Yatsu

Joined Keihin in 1972. Directs global environmental management at Keihin. For waste reduction, carries out planning, implementation, and follow-up. "Environmental projects should support business management. Although CO2 emissions reduction is our primary focus, I'd like us also to be focused on reducing impacts while cutting costs. My next goal is to make our plants more efficient, especially overseas."

Takashi Otsuki

Joined Keihin in 1989. Organizes disposal of emulsions and other waste at Miyagi Factory No. 2, and oversees conception, implementation, and maintenance of waste reduction measures.
"I'd like to help spread awareness of waste to our factory workers. Also, because it's hard to cut waste once it's made, I want to try reducing it by getting line workers to work on producing less of it."

Makoto Kumazawa

Makoto Kumazawa

"I want to help Keihin expand its environmental initiatives. There are also a lot of people who don't know what kind of company Keihin is. So another goal is to build the Keihin brand through environmental initiatives that include community service."
