Breakdown of total Honda GHG emissions (FY 2016)

Honda established the Honda LCA (life cycle assessment) Data System in March 2002. Product lifecycle is a series of phases that a product goes through from raw material procurement to final disposal. LCA is designed to collect and assess environmental impact data for each phase of the product lifecycle. The total CO2 emitted during the phases of "driving" and "fuel refining" accounts for about 80% of the entire lifecycle. This is why improving car fuel efficiency is essential to reducing CO2 emissions.
