Nagaoka : Wow. The del Sol. It's funny how hard the car has to work to stow the roof.
Kigoshi : I was involved in this project, but I didn't want to be. The mechanism was too complex. But the project leader wanted to make something new and original, and won me over, leading to what we consider our best effort. The US Regional Operations did not want such complex mechanisms, so the US-version has a hand-stowed aluminium roof. There were many problems for this one.
Nagaoka : I didn't know that. I was also surprised at the original Insight next to the del Sol.
Kigoshi : The aluminium body made it very light. It's a great car to drive. There are still many enthusiasts. But looking at these cars, we sure do make a lot of strange things.
Nagaoka : That's what I call Honda.
