Yutaka Izubuchi

Animation director, mechanical designer, and illustrator. Inspired by the 1974 animation “Space Battleship Yamato” to enter the world of anime. Supervised mechanical design in numerous popular anime series and films such as ”Mobile Suit Gundam” and “Mobile Police Patlabor.” In 2012, Izubuchi was Director of the feature anime film “SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO 2199.”

Taro Nishimoto

Designer, Design Development Division, Motorcycle R&D Center, Honda R&D Co., Ltd. Nishimoto, being stationed in Thailand for five years, is a designer well aware of the Asian’s needs. He joins this interview as commentator for global small bike design. Nishimoto was inspired as a child by Izubuchi’s “Mobile Police Patlabor” to choose the career of a designer.
