Born on January 7, 1957 in Aomori Prefecture. In 1982, he joined Honda R&D Co., Ltd., Automobile R&D Center (Wako). Through designing a number of mass production engines, he participated in the designing of F1 V12 engine and the development of New Indy V6 turbo engine. In 2012, as Chief Engineer for Civic WTCC Development, he was engaged in the development of WTCC Civic with JAS Motorsport.
