Pit Beirer and Joshua
Coppins were lying in 3rd and 4th places early on in the race, but Coppins moved
past Beirer later on to turn the tables and claim 3rd. A fall by race leader Jamie
Dobb (KTM) lifted both riders one place, giving Honda a 2/3 finish.
In the 500cc class, Andrea Bartolini started in 5th position but managed to move
up through the field by the closing stages when he was right behind leader Stefan
Everts (Yamaha). Bartolini eventually had to settle for 3rd place for the second
race in a row after being passed by Marniq Bervoets (Yamaha) with only 2 laps
to go.
