Round 10, marking
the beginning of the final stage of the season, was held at Swiss town of
Roggenburg, close to the French border. This typically European natural
circuit is extremely technical, with steep climbs and drops and reverse
banked turns. After finishing 7th in qualifying, Frederic Bolley came out
of the first corner in 2nd position, but he made contact on the very next
corner and had dropped back to 10th place after one lap. During the middle
stages of the race, however, he worked his way back up through the field
and took the checkered flag in 5th position.
