Dougie Lampkin (Montesa-HRC) must have thought he would be celebrating his 6th championship after winning on Saturday, but then Takahisa Fujinami (Montesa-HRC) pulled 10 points closer to the leader by running away with Sunday's race. The gap between the two is now 32 points, and Lampkin will have to wait until the last race of the season at Motegi in Japan to clinch the title. Fujinami is currently 30 points ahead of the next rider, Albert Cabestany (Beta), and looks almost certain to keep his second place in the standings.
