| World Trials Championship Round 7 Italy Second Win of Season for Fujinami, Shares Victories with Lampkin |

In what turned out to be the most difficult event this year in terms of settings, Takahisa Fujinami (Montesa-HRC) posted his second win of the season. He is still 30 points behind championship leader Dougie Lampkin (Montesa-HRC) as the two riders shared 1st and 2nd places on Saturday and Sunday. At the same time, Fujinami defended his second place from the challenge of Albert Cabestany (Beta). The 7-point gap which once separated the two riders has now been extended to 18 points.
