World Trials Championship Round 3 UK
Lampkin Edges One Race, Runs Away with the Other |
Isle Of Man, famous for its TT Race, is the only region of Britain where trial racing is
allowed after last year's foot and mouth disease epidemic. Reigning champion Dougie
Lampkin (Montesa-HRC) was victorious on both days on this island, now known as the
trials island, where he lives. The two races were quite different, but whatever
happened the results were the same and it was Lampkin who stood out both times.
Team-mate Takahisa Fujinami finished 5th on day one but the next day improved to
2nd, and will now be looking for any chance to put pressure on Lampkin.
