| In
its efforts to develop a new commercial vehicle for the 21st century,
Honda reexamined the characteristics considered important in these
vehicles. The result is the prototype Acty Truck, a "smart" commercial
vehicle offering highly practical features such as versatile cabin
space and a large rear bed. This smart vehicle offers improved safety
for both occupants and pedestrians, as well as environmentally responsible
design. The prototype Acty Truck - Honda's solution to the need for
a car that is useful to everyone. |

Honda
aimed to achieve a high-level fusion of safety, environmental
friendliness, driveability and practicality. |
The
prototype Acty Truck features a rear bed that is 70mm longer than
those of comparable existing models of the same overall length. Yet
it achieves world-class collision safety performance, thanks to Honda's
original G-Force Control technology. The Acty Truck's high-level offerings
include superb environmental friendliness, flexible cabin usage, powerful
response that ensures smooth driving performance even when fully loaded,
and excellent handling that realizes stable driving at high speeds.
