Honda's "Green Factory" efforts strive to ensure that the factories making our products are just as environmentally friendly as the machines themselves. |
· ISO 14001 certification recognizing the establishment of consistent environmental factory management systems has been achieved for all domestic factories in Japan and all major factories in Europe and Asia.
· Reduction of harmful industrial wastes to zero by 2001.
· 15% reduction in energy consumption planned for 2001, with corresponding reduction in carbon dioxide generation.*Compared to 1990 levels.
· Factory and office green belt projects have resulted in over 550,000 trees being planted. |
