To satisfy users with a means of transportation that can handle ever-changing European roads, requirements were set as follows to seek a new packaging:

• Easy-to-handle compact vehicle body with large-capacity storage and great utility
• Comfortable riding position and handling with a sense of security even when riding in tandem
• Brakes and suspension that realize more comfortable and higher running-through performance

It was thus decided to incorporate the following as the best-suited packaging for satisfying European customers:

• Enough space under the seat to store a full-face helmet and some more
• Fuel tank that can hold 7.5 liters to deliver riding range to spare
• Brake system that employs hydraulic discs having a 240-mm diameter for front and rear to enhance the sense of security

These elements may seemingly contradict the notion of a compact vehicle body, but an exhaustive review of placement and shape of each part enabled us to realize the utility of a scooter at a higher level.
In other areas, the side stand is now included as standard equipment to accommodate many user situations. Equipment that increases usefulness, such as the utility hook and a newly designed retractable pillion step, has been installed as well.
