Frame/Chassis

The SH125i/150i was developed with the aim of striking a high-level balance among price, specifications and equipment, which would be appreciated by customers as outstanding value for money.
The body size and flat floor are inherited from the current model due to their high marks for ease of handling in urban areas. In addition, our ingenuity is at work in each and every portion of the frame to secure a large-capacity storage space for a full-face helmet, while the 16-inch tires, one of the SH's appeals, are also adopted.
For brakes, ABS is set for some types for Europe and a combined brake system is standard for Vietnam, in order to provide customers with a greater sense of security. The development team is confident that the 2013 model with its enhanced utility plus the high dependability that already exists for the current 125i/150i model will offer customers the greatest joy by meeting a variety of needs on a high level.
The newly designed frame body has a simple structure thanks to the wide use of high-tensile steel pipes to strike a balance between the flexibility of steel pipes and the required strength of a utility vehicle. This frame contributes to the realization of firm and steady handling performance.
For the suspension, a telescopic suspension with a 100-mm stroke was chosen for the front and a unit swing type for the rear. The rear cushion employs a 5-stage preload adjuster, which makes a wide range of settings available.
