

The Tochigi Proving Ground is a unique comprehensive test course like no other in the world, able to accommodate motorcycle, automobile, and power product testing simultaneously. In addition to a highspeed circular course for engine endurance testing, the facility includes a straight course, a comprehensive course, a special course, a rough surface course, a winding course, and a motocross course to test the functions of motercycles and automobiles such as brakes and suspension. Furthermore, there are field and lawn areas for testing tractors and lawnmowers. In all, this state-of-the-art proving center boasts over 60 kilometers of courses, and includes a high-performance control tower and monitoring system for close surveillance of all the test areas. On these courses, the best of track-proven drivers and riders put these machines through their paces continuously under the most rigorous of conditions. The resulting data is measured and analyzed by computer, providing feedback for each R&D Centers to reflect on reliable product manufacturing admired by all our customers throughout the world.

Transportation Research Center Inc.
TRC is located next to Honda R&D's Ohio Center. The spacious 1,821 hectare site incorporates a variety of testing facilities. These include a 12km circuit, an outdoor crash test area, and rough roads.
