The Takasu Proving Ground is located in the rich natural enviroment in Hokkaido, providing the ideal setting for testing in a harsh winter environment. The 6.8 km highspeed circular course redefines the limits of circular course functionality, since it includes many multipurpose features such as sharp turns and sloping stretches to facilitate intense testing of body, suspension and engine performance. The 6.2 km winding course with a maximum height differential of 57.5 meters incorporates seventeen different turns, ranging from 9 meters to 160 meters in radius. Together with its surface variations and gaps, this course enables development without compromise.
Embodying the global enviroment, these test fields are the real hometown of Honda products. |

This 1,550 hectare test course was developed in the Mojave Desert north of Los Angeles. There is a 12km flat circuit course and a 6km winding hill course. |
|
The circular course was completed in 2001. All year-round, this carefully managed road surface, circular and superbly level, reproduces dry, wet and snowy driving conditions. This course is perfectly suited to testing today’s rapidly advancing array of vehicle-control technologies, including ABS, TCS, VSA and 4WD. |
