Honda developed “The CRF1000L, Africa Twin”

“The CRF1000L, Africa Twin” has been developed as a full-blown adventure motorcycle model equipped with a freshly developed water-cooled, four stroke, OHC, inline two-cylinder, 998 cm3 displacement engine.

With the vehicle concept of “a motorcycle that brings you wherever you want,” it offers easy maneuvering and riding comfort in various driving situations. By mounting a light weight small sized engine on a weight saved semi-double-cradle frame body, both a superior drive performance in off-road riding and a responsive maneuverability in on-road riding are successfully established on a single machine. Moreover, the controllability of “the Dual Clutch Transmission” has been enhanced and a model option that is equipped with ABS and Honda Selectable Torque Control system is also made available.

As for the exterior styling, it was designed to excite a mind of adventure.

The engine “eSP”are developed for nextgeneration small scooters

The engine “eSP” is developed for nextgeneration 125cc scooters and accommodates an advanced idling stop system for motorcycles. Smooth and remarkably quiet start has been realized through an electronically-controlled ACG starter, which serves as both a self-starter and a dynamo. Fuel economy is approximately 25%* better than that of conventional engines for scooters with the same displacement. By applying those technologies, a liquid-cooled 50 cc engine and an air-cooled 110 cc engine were additionally developed.
