Round 2Double podium for Repsol Honda riders in Austin

It was a perfect weekend for Marc Marquez, what is your analysis considering he's still not 100% fit?

Marc has done an incredible job this weekend! We knew it was a circuit he likes, as he won his first MotoGP race here last season, but each time is different and especially now, with his foot still not 100% and a very physically demanding circuit, it was not an easy job! The only problem was in the last corner of the last lap... we almost had a heart attack!

Marc and Dani ran away from the others in the race, finishing almost 17s ahead of third place finisher Dovizioso. Does this prove this is really a Honda track?

For sure Austin is a good circuit for Honda, but I think it is also a matter of team work. The bike has to be set up properly, and the riders need to do a great job to have such a big advantage on the closest competitor. We have seen many riders have issues with the front tyre, but Marc and Dani had almost no problem. It means the bikes were very well set up and the riders rode perfectly!

Why do you think Bradl was not able to keep up his pace after qualifying in third?

Stefan crashed in round 1, so it was very important for him to finish this race. He finished very close to the podium and he is showing an improvement compared to last year. Let him and his team work and I am sure they will get good results this season.

Also, Bautista, why did he struggle more and not seem as competitive as in Qatar?

For Alvaro it was a more difficult weekend. In the race he was doing well but he crashed out. Not an easy start to the season for him, but he has the potential to do well.

Now heading to Argentina, how will the riders prepare for a track they've never ridden or seen before?

It will be an interesting weekend for everybody! We have some data as last year Stefan and Alvaro went there together with other satellite teams to test the new circuit, and we will start using this as a guide. It will be a very demanding weekend for the teams anyway!
