Round 4Repsol Honda riders shine in wet Le Mans

Le Mans brought another fantastic double podium for the Repsol Honda Team: win for Dani Pedrosa and third place for Marc Marquez. You couldn’t expect a better result...

Not really! It has been another wonderful weekend with our riders and team able to show a very good capability to manage any kind of condition. Dani and Marc have been fast in both dry and wet and we are very proud of it.

With his win in France, Dani is leading the championship and has become the first rider to get two successive victories this season. How important is this result in a very tight championship like this one?

Dani is showing the great performances he already showed last season from mid season. With this victory he has 8 wins from the last 12 races and this shows how high his level actually is. The championship is long and it is too early to think about it, but for sure Dani has everything you need to deserve.

Marc had his first experience in wet with his MotoGP bike. It’s been another sign that he is learning so quickly.

The capability to learn quickly is surprisingly good, and even if he is a rookie, he looks like he has a lot of experience in this class. He had a difficult start and starting from pole he was 9th in the first lap. Nevertheless he was able to recover position and this podium shows also that he has a “never give up” attitude that is something so important in racing and also in normal life!

Since 1998, Marc is the first rookie in the premier class to finish on the podium in the first four races. I guess Marc is exceeding the expectations the team had on him for this season already…

So far Marc is doing everything in the best way we can expect! Anyway we all know that his first goal in this season is to learn and grow up for the future.

How is the team approaching the race in Mugello in two weeks?

Mugello is a very nice circuit and all riders love it. Valentino has ‘reigned’ there for many years and he will have a lot of support from his Italian fans. Ducati has been testing there after Jerez, and Jorge won last year… it will be an interesting weekend, hopefully with some nice Italian weather after so much rain in Le Mans!
