- World Champion Casey Stoner won a thrilling, last-gasp victory at rain-dampened Valencia, passing rival Ben Spies just one metre before the finish line to score his tenth success of the season by just 0.015s.
- Casey Stoner scored a brilliant pole position in tricky, drizzly conditions at Valencia this afternoon. It was the recently crowned World Champion’s 12th pole of the year, which equals the record established by Mick Doohan.
