Starting from the pole, Power led all but two of the 75 laps at Infineon for his fifth victory of the season, winning the Mario Andretti Trophy as the best road-course racer in 2010 and increasing his lead in the overall drivers’ championship standings.
IZOD IndyCar Series points leader Will Power demonstrated why he’s leading the drivers’ championship, establishing a new single-season record of eight poles Saturday at Infineon Raceway as he heads a 25-car field in Sunday’s Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma.
