Fourth FAA-conforming HondaJet commences test flights

In preparation for certification by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the fourth FAA-conforming HondaJet aircraft performed smoothly flying as high as 11,500 feet (approx. 3,500m) and as fast as of 313 KTAS (580kph) during a May 2012 test flight. Several checks were completed during the 74-minute test flight, including takeoff and climb, landing gear and flap operations; aircraft handling, air data system checks; and an Instrument Landing System approach using the flight director.
