Javier Pizzolito started racing in 1992, when he was just 12 years old, in an important International Endurance race in Argentina with a Honda XR100R. He competed in Enduro and Motocross series' before becoming a professional rider in 2001 as part of the Honda Racing Argentina program. His first rally season was in 2009 and he won three national titles in a row (2009-2010-2011).
Pizzolito made his debut in the Dakar in 2010. The new challenge didn't start as expected for the Argentinian rider, his bike burnt before the first kilometer of the first stage, but Javier didn't give up and he returned a year after being stronger and more determined: he started gaining experience on his Honda machine and earned an impressive 19th finish in 2011 and a second place in the amateur class 450cc.
The Dakar 2012 began with a third overall in the first stage, followed by a stable position in the top 10 on all the Argentinian stages. An unlucky incident during the eighth stage forced him to withdraw suffering from a broken femur and elbow. Determined and hugely motivated, Javier recovered quickly and returned to racing in July 2012 in the Dakar Series Desafio Litoral taking fifth place overall. In Dakar 2013, Pizzolito finished 8th overall.
