Earlier this week, the team was able to interact with the new Honda CRF450 RALLY for the first time during the official photo shoot, shortly before beginning a race that will challenge the riders and the new bike. The feedback after each race day will be very important for HRC engineers in the coming weeks ahead of the team's preparation for the Dakar '14 Rally.

In The OiLibya Morocco Rally, both HRC teams will be present with a total of five riders: Helder Rodrigues (Portugal), Sam Sunderland (Great Britain), Javier Pizzolito (Argentina), Joan Barreda (Spain) and Paulo Goncalves (Portugal).

Paulo Gonçalves is in a position to challenge for the World Championship title, as after a great victory in the penultimate round, Rally Sertões in Brazil, the gap to the championship leader is only three points.

Tomorrow there will be administrative and technical scrutineering prior to the start of the race, to commence on Monday, October 14 in Zagora.

"Honda have developed a new bike which is completely different: a new engine, new chassis and new plastics. Our machine preparation is almost perfect so far. Good handling, good performance, good reliability, good design also. I'm looking to the OiLibya Rally and make sure our bikes perform and have good reliability. Regarding our team staff: we have five riders, five mechanics and one chief mechanic. Team structure is much better than last year. Our team work is getting better day by day and I'm very happy right now"
Martino Bianchi :TEAM HRC- General Manager
"This Oilybia Marocco Rally is very important for TEAM HRC in order to test the new team structure and the new bike. We'll test all five riders, the team combination, new bike settings and durability so it's a very important week for us because we stay also for the Merzouga Rally. All October is quite tough month for the team in order to be ready for the Dakar. It's a very important preparation for the Dakar '14."
