The chassis inherits the basic structure of the VFR800F. Although the size of its body is different to the VFR800F, the Crossrunner delivers the same kind of excellent responsiveness, due to optimum rigidity.
Furthermore, the seat rail has been newly designed to minimize the height difference between the rider's seat and the passenger seat. This allows the rider to step on and off the bike easily, and gives the passenger a sense of security. At the same time storage space under the seat is on a par with previous models.
In the suspension, the Crossrunner secures the required rigidity by adopting a highly responsive, cartridge-type front fork with a 43-mm inner tube diameter.
An invigorating and comfortable ride with excellent road-holding in all kinds of situations is also made possible by mounting a single-sided rear suspension in combination with the Pro-Link suspension equipped with HMAS damper independently developed by Honda to secure flexible operation.
