The demand for mobility is growingbut in South America, Asia and rest of the world as well. It appears certain that the transportation market will continue to expand. Meanwhile, automakers must deal decisively with global warming and other environmental problems. To achieve sustained growth, they must also continue to enhance the safety and quality of their products. Confronting these challenges, Honda is strengthening:(1) its advanced manufacturing systems in Japan; (2) its foundation for long-term global growth; and (3) its initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of its operations. Strengthening our fundamentals, we’re pursuing new innovations in production and environmentally responsible technologies.
