Brands Hatch, UK, October 7, 2009 - Visitors to the final round of the 2009 British Touring Car Championship last Sunday were treated to a surprise guest - ASIMO. ASIMO travelled to the Brands Hatch circuit to appear as a mystery guest in Honda's popular racing quiz, 'A Question of Motorsport'. The quiz has been held at a number of rounds of the BTCC this year to entertain fans and sees two teams of Honda racers pit their sporting acumen against one another.

Competing on track and in the quiz on Sunday were Team Dynamics Honda Civic drivers David Pinkney and Johnny Herbert (Le Mans and F1 GP winner). During the quiz, both drivers were blind-folded and asked to guess the mystery guest - ASIMO.
After the quiz, ASIMO wowed the BTCC crowds with a full demonstration of its capabilities in a specially constructed marquee.

Commenting on ASIMO's appearance, Paul Ormond, General Manager, Corporate Press and PR, said: Around 400 people gathered to see ASIMO and 'A Question of Motorsport'. The quiz has proven to be a really popular feature at the BTCC. It's great fun and brings the fans closer to Honda and the drivers.

"The mystery guest is always a highlight of the quiz, both for the fans and the competing teams. We've had some fantastic surprises in the past, but ASIMO is the best yet - he really thrilled the audience."
