CANNES, France, June 23, 2007 - ASIMO travelled to the South of France to attend this year's 'Cannes Lions', the annual international advertising festival. ASIMO was at the award ceremony to celebrate Honda winning the coveted 'Advertiser of the Year' award, which honors companies that have embraced and encouraged innovation and creativity to the marketing of their products. Joining ASIMO on stage to collect the trophy was Ken Keir, Senior Vice-President of Honda Motor Europe.

The Cannes Lions is widely regarded as the most prestigious international advertising award ceremony and is the world's largest gathering of advertising professionals and advertisers. This year a record 11.000 people attended the event.
Honda is no stranger to success at the famous advertising festival. In recent years it has won Gold Lions for 'Cog' (2003), 'Choir' and the 'Impossible Dream' (2006). In 2005 Honda's popular advert 'Grrr' (Hate something, change something) won both the Film Grand Prix and Titanium Lion awards.
'Warm Technology', the recent Honda TV commercial where ASIMO explores a museum, will be entered into next year's festival.
