ASIMO made a first-ever appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), January 5-8, 2006. Held in the Las Vegas Convention Center, the CES is the world's largest consumer electronics tradeshow, with some 2,500 companies vying for the attention of over 150,000 visitors.

Showgoers gathered by the hundreds at the Honda display to watch ASIMO conduct a live demonstration of its unique technological capabilities. The ASIMO goods lotteries following each demonstration were equally popular. Some visitors even participated in all eight lotteries of the day! As always, ASIMO seems to have made lots of new friends!
ASIMO also attracted considerable attention from the media, with over 4,000 media representatives from around the world seeking interviews between demonstrations.
