ASIMO appeared at the 33rd Barcelona International Motor Show. Previously, Honda's humanoid robot and international ambassador had toured the Science Museum in Barcelona in March 2004 and the Madrid Motor Show in May 2004, making this its third visit to Spain.

From May 9 to 15, 2005, ASIMO conducted five demonstrations a day for a total of 35 demonstrations. On each occasion, large crowds of visitors gathered around ASIMO, cheering and clapping hands in time with ASIMO's moves.
