For ASIMO this was the third visit to China. The venue this time was the Shanghai International Motor Show, held at the New International Expo Center in Shanghai, April 22-28, 2005.

The themes of Honda's exhibition for the event were "Leader in Environment-Friendliness and Safety" and "Driving Pleasure." ASIMO joined with other presenters to introduce the HSC Concept, the FCX fuel-cell vehicle and production models such as the Accord, Odyssey, CR-V and Fit. The robot was received with warm applause as it demonstrated some of its special skills, which include walking, dancing and climbing stairs.
